Mara Clara is a remake of the 1992 television series, Mara Clara produced by ABS-CBN. It starred Judy Ann Santos as Mara Del Valle and Gladys Reyes as Clara Davis. Three years after the series had its finale in 1996 it was adapted into a film version where the whole cast reprised their role except for Eruel Tongco's character Gary Davis who was played by William Martinez in the movie. The new Mara Clara (2010 Series) has Kathryn Bernardo as the new Mara del Valle while Julia Montes is be the new Clara David.
