The malicious rumor:  Showbiz couple John Lloyd Cruz and Shaina Magdayao had to be rushed to the St. Luke’s Hospital due to “penis captivus,” or “vaginismus”,.  (Both condition result to a lock-up where the penis gets “stuck” inside the vagina during sexual intercourse.)

It is strange how someone could cook up such an idea, spread it like wildfire and gets away with it. It is even more strange that people seriously digest such an absurd gossip (which is obviously the product of a wild imagination) and even treat it as news. The rumor has uncontrollably become viral.

We do not know where it originated. Maybe it only started as a joke - just like in a drinking session where the "bangka" shows off by throwing a punch line that could make everyone burst into fits of laughter and giggles. Maybe it came from a disgruntled fan who wants John Llloyd for another actress, or even for herself (or himself, if he's gay.) It's hard to trace now where it all came from, but one thing's for sure, John Lloyd and Shaina are definitely a hot item and very controversial.

Yes, it is below the belt, especially for Shaina. She is a woman and this rumor, certainly, disrespects her in every way. So, though we, who are rational enough to dismiss it as just that - a rumor, can just laugh it off, Shaina, on the other hand, must have been so hurt and gravely affected.

If behind this rumor is a genuine malicious intent to malign or harm Shaina in any way, then, sorry to say, the effect is just the opposite. Because of this, people's sentiments are now with her, the helpless victim.

Anyway, for the record, Boy Abunda has disproved the rumor, saying “It’s not true, ... It didn’t happen.” Star Magic has vehemently denied it: “Isang malaking kasinungalingan ang intriga!”
